It’s a very hard issue. On one side, Nietzsche despised pangermanism, nationalism and antisemitism, that was the reason for his fallout with Richard Wagner. Also he admired people such as Baruch Spinoza, Heinrich Heine, Georges Bizet and Jacques O Ravi Zaccharias and Francis Schaeffer both draw a straight line from Nietzsche to Hitler, though many atheists have said that's an unfair statement. In his film Expelled, Ben Stein connects Darwin to Hitler (with Nietzsche in the middle of course).

zyxwvu zyxw zyxzy The Southern Journal of Philosophy (1999) Vol. XXXVZZ, Supplement Nietzsche and “Hitler” Alexander Nehamas Princeton University When one is young, one venerates and despises without that art of nuances which constitutes the best gain of life, and it is only zyx fair that one has to pay dearly for having assaulted men and things in this manner with Yes and No. Everything The idea that Nietzsche was a National Socialist in favor of anti-Semitism is absurd due to the fact that it was because of Elizabeth and the editing of Nietzsche"s journals, along with her association with Adolf Hitler that led some to believe that the work in The Will to Power and Thus Spoke Zarathustra was encouraging and inspiring future Nietzsche was an elitist and his aristocracy was the Übermensch, which represented the pinnacle of evolution. At this evolutionary plateau, superman would “overcome” his own humanity. For both Nietzsche and Hitler, this post-human condition represented godhood. Inherent in this anti-human belief are Nietzsche’s quasi-Gnostic proclivities. Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) was notoriously unread and uninfluential during his own lifetime, and his works suffered considerable distortion in the hands of his sister Elisabeth, who managed his literary estate and twisted his philosophy into a set of ideas supporting Hitler and Nazism (Hitler had Thus Spoke Zarathustra issued to every soldier in the German army). Introduction & Definition In 1883, German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche published Thus Spoke Zarathustra. Probably Nietzsche’s most famous work, Thus Spoke Zarathustra introduces the concept of the Übermensch, a being in stark opposition with the moral values of Christianism of the time and, primarily, with the concept of other-worldliness.
